📋 How to Use

  1. Start typing — a title and content save automatically as you go
  2. Open Advanced Options to add tags, a color, or a star rating
  3. Use the search bar or tag filter in the sidebar to find a note later
  4. Click 📍 to pin a note, or ✕ to delete it — deleted notes go to Trash and can be recovered

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are my notes stored?

They're stored in this device's browser local storage. They stay even after a refresh or closing the tab, but won't appear if you clear browser data or sign in from a different device.

Can I recover a note I deleted by mistake?

An undo button appears for 4 seconds right after deleting. Click it or press Ctrl/⌘+Z to reverse it. If time's passed, use the 🗑️ button at the top to recover it from the trash.

Can I export a note as a file?

Use Advanced Options at the bottom of the editor to export the current note as .txt, or the 📥 button at the top to export all notes as JSON.

Can I search or filter my notes?

Yes. Use the search bar to search titles, content, and tags at once, or use the tag filter and sort options (newest, oldest, title, star rating) in the sidebar.

Can I pin an important note to the top?

Yes. Click the 📍 icon on a note to pin it — pinned notes always appear at the top of the list regardless of the sort order.

Is it free to use, and do I need to sign up?

It's completely free, with no sign-up or login required. Everything runs in your browser.
