Frequently Asked Questions

Does it notify me when the timer ends?

An alarm sound plays and the screen flashes when the timer ends. You can turn the sound on or off with the "Play sound when done" option below. Note that no sound will play if your browser or device is muted. No separate browser notification is provided.

Can I use it as a Pomodoro timer?

Yes. You can set a 25-minute timer directly, or adjust it to your preference. Your last setting is saved automatically, so it stays the same next time you visit. There is no auto-repeat feature, so you'll need to start each session manually.

How do I use stopwatch mode?

Click the "Stopwatch" tab at the top to switch modes. Start measuring with the Start button or spacebar; pausing and starting again continues from where you left off. The Reset button returns it to zero. Useful for tracking workout times or elapsed time.

Does it keep running in the background (switched tabs)?

The timer keeps running even if you switch browser tabs. However, some browsers reduce timer precision for background tabs, which may cause a discrepancy of a few seconds. For critical timing, we recommend using a dedicated app.
